Fallons Bar & Café is Kildare's newest and most popular eatery.
Located in what was formerly Bernies bar & Restaurant in the quaint Village of Kilcullen, the whole premises has recently undergone a major make over.
A clever blend of old and new, have created a very attractive playground for the county's well informed foodies. Brian Fallon (of Lemongrass & Fallon & Byrne fame), moved his experienced team following the unfortunate fire in the much loved Red House Hotel. The original plan was to house the staff while the Red House was being rebuilt however the popularity of the venture convinced Brian to purchase the famous old eatery and give it a much needed revamp. The result has been met with great local applause and themove has been an over night success.
The menu reads as an uncomplicated collection of the old favorites however the dishes are all very well put together and their simplicity add a warm comfort to the whole dining experience. The head chef Rose Brannock who worked under the watchful eye of Colin O Daly in the Park in Kenmare and later in Roleys has created 'extraordinary versions of the familiar'.
The Bar has a gastro pub feel to it with a busy, fun atmosphere, while the restaurant a tad less informal still contains a casual relaxed feel. The premises boasts a stone cut private dining room with seating up to eighty and self playing Roland grand piano.
Food is available from 12.30am till 10pm seven days a week booking essential at weekends for reservations phone 045 481260. Click here to see our menu.
